Jorge Lara Ibarra

Mr. Lara has 30 years of experience structuring and successfully executing all kinds of M&A transactions for private and public companies in the Mexican middle market. Throughout his career and through his Mexico-based IB Boutique Firm, Profintec, Mr. Lara has led transactions for a total aggregate amount of more than USD 1.2 billion across all industries.
Prior to founding Profintec M&A, Mr. Lara worked as Head of Corporate Finance & Head of Investment Banking for several leading Mexican institutions such as Operadora de Bolsa, Bursamex Casa de Bolsa and Bital bank (now HSBC México) where he led several IPO´s. Mr. Lara was responsible for the public and private placement of more than USD 1 billion in debt instruments such as long-term bonds.
Mr. Lara is also a private investor having been involved with companies in the financial services, health, sexual wellness, construction materials and fashion & entertainment industries.
Mr. Lara holds a degree in Public Accounting from La Salle University in Mexico City and an MBA from the Arthur D. Little School of Management at Boston College. He is a member of the founding generation of the Senior Management Program in Private Equity (ADECAP) from IPADE Business School in Mexico City.
Mr. Rodriguez has extensive experience within the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Industry in leadership positions throughout the LATAM region across key areas such as: finance, marketing, commercial, business development and general management. Mr. Rodríguez has an extensive track record implementing business strategies and managing operations that exponentially drive business growth. With outstanding result-oriented strengths Mr.Rodriguez has been actively involved in P&L turnarounds for budgets above USD 800 million, has in-depth knowledge of complex strategic solutions as well as the implementation of business needs. Mr. Rodríguez is an unparalleled influential leader with the ability to develop world-class teams.
In his last position as a CEO of Mundipharma Mexico & LATAM, he launched and oversaw company operations in Mexico and Latin America, reaching sales above USD 100M, positioning the company as a key player in the different markets. He constantly worked with healthcare authorities to improve pain management for patients.
Prior to this, Mr. Rodríguez worked for Pfizer for almost 20 years, in a progressing career from CFO of Colombia and the Andean Region to CEO of Pfizer Mexico, leading a team of more than 2,000 colleagues and with sales of US 800M. During his career in Pfizer, he participated and led the acquisition and integration of Warner Lambert Company, Pharmacia & Upjohn and Wyeth Products, reaching and exceeding the synergy objectives, market positioning and consolidation of both team and culture.
He is also LP in the VC Angel Ventures Mexico and is an active investor in the entertainment industry.
Mr. Navarrete has over 14 years of experience in private equity funds in Mexico, as a Fund Manager for Fondo Pymex. Over the past six years as COO for Jupiter Capital, Mr. Navarrete has defined the Fund’s operating processes, conducted the creation of a trust as an investment vehicle, supervised all of the trust’s transactions, created the firm’s document repository and its maintenance policies, has supervised the corporate governance policies and activities, and has overseen the firm’s compliance area.
Prior to his experience in Private Equity, Mr. Navarrete held operating, consulting and technical positions in the information technology area within the education, telecommunications and logistics sectors.
Mr. Navarrete holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Ms. Lara has a professional trajectory in the health & nutrition, toy, communication and financial service industries. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of the multi-level marketing, fintech and startup ecosystems. She has worked as a consultant for Burson-Marsteller, a leading global PR agency and has worked on the strategy, design and execution of many successful campaigns and product launches into the market.
In addition, Ms. Lara has a keen understanding of the digital marketing, social media, design and sales areas, having lead different projects in entrepreneurial environments.
Ms. Lara has a global vision, having lived, worked and studied in 4 countries for more than 5 years. She is fluent in Spanish, English and German.
Ms. Lara holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Commercial Management from Universidad Europea de Madrid and graduated from the International Diploma Program in Marketing from UC Berkeley.

Mr. Lara has 4+ years of business experience in Jupiter Capital Group. His responsibilities include sourcing, analyzing new investments, financial modeling, due diligence, deal process execution, and portfolio company monitoring.
Mr. Lara has evaluated and structured several M&A transactions, having taken part in several deals in the Pharmaceutical and Construction Materials sectors.
Mr. Lara holds and undergraduate degree in finance from the Universidad Iberoamericana and is sitting for CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) Level I in September. He is fluent in Spanish, English and German.
Patricio Lara Hofmann
Mr. Lara is a third year analyst in Jupiter Capital Group. He is a mergers and acquisitions specialist in the construction material’s industry and is currently the leading analyst in an ongoing project within the healthcare industry.
Mr. Lara is also member of a fundraising “Road Show” for SPV JCAP ALPHA III in New York, Madrid and Mexico.
Mr. Lara is currently a last year finance undergraduate student and is expected to hold a bachelor`s degree in Finance by Fall 2020. He is fluent in English, Spanish and German.
